There are two series of patches available for this kernel.

Option # 1 : Add 53C1010 (Ultra 3) in the sym53c8xx driver and 
             integrity checking support to both drivers 
             ( ncr53c8xx 3.31 / sym53c8xx 1.61)

Option # 2 : Update your driver to the latest bundled version 
             (ncr53c8xx 3.2e/ sym53c8xx 1.5h).

Note: As shown in the diagram below, the driver patches for
Options 1 and 2 are different due to parallel development on the driver.
